Super baby

Noah has super skills.

I started him on cloth diapers yesterday (I was going to start sooner but our washer and dryer at the old place were on the fritz) and I was pretty sure he was trying to test me, because he had a huge blowout and I had to undress him in the bathtub so I didn't ruin our nice new carpet...

Then when I fed him at one point last night, his diaper leaked and both of us got all wet (and that was with an extra cloth insert). I felt like throwing in the towel with this whole cloth diaper thing, and I had Eric just put a disposable on him and we all went back to sleep.

Lo and behold, just a few hours later when he woke up his whole side was wet--yes, the disposable diaper had also leaked. Noah has simply developed super bodily functions and can out-think any diaper he encounters!

Oh man!!! That is NO FUN... I hope that the cloth diapers end up working really well because it will def save you money on the diaper bill AND I know that it is no fun having to change a wet baby in the middle of the night!!!

p.s. Make sure you are aiming him DOWN when you put the diaper on... works wonders especially since I have had Shane pee straight up and out of his diaper....

Don't give up! It's totally worth it! I've found with the BumGenius' you need to make sure they're really tight-- make sure there's no room around the leg, or it will totally come out. Hope it goes better next time!

Yeah, we're not going to give up, that was just my muddled, middle-of-the-night vow. We have another brand, too, that has worked really well the last couple of days. I'm not actually sure what they are because we bought them used from a diaper service, but they've been great.
