So I've been going to our Relief Society book club here in Mechanicsville, and I've really enjoyed the opportunity to get to know the other women in the group better. I absolutely ADORED the book we read this month, so I wanted to share for all my fellow book-lovers. It's called "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society" by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows.
I won't go into a full-on book review, but I will say that I loved the character development and felt like the writing was so genuine and...well, worth reading! It's a fairly easy read, but not because it's not well-written. Reading this book has actually encouraged me to go back and read or reread some of the classics I've neglected. I hope some of you will take my advice and read it!
