Well, this Friday we took advantage of some of our massive amounts of free time and took off to Virginia Beach with our friends Lance and Jen. It is about two hours from Mechanicsville; totally worth the drive. We had perfect weather and the water was great.

This was our attempt to get a picture of the dolphins we saw. We couldn't capture them on film, but they were there and it was awesome.

Our setup on the sand.We have to mention, also, that on our way up there we were stuck in traffic right next to Dave Matthew's Band's tour buses. People were honking and waving at the buses. You couldn't see in, so we didn't actually see them, but one of the buses did honk back at some fans once. We got kind of excited finding out how close we'd been to such an amazing musician. Too bad we didn't have tickets to his concert at VA Beach...

Reminds me of when Evelyn and I showed up at Duke and had some free time and went to Myrtle Beach. Evelyn was pregant with Bethany. Good times and great memories. BADGER DAD
I don't think I was ever pregnant at a beach. I wouldn't have looked THAT good, to be sure! I love the skirt Evelyn gave you, too. They didn't have skirts like that when I had my kids. I wonder if it's more fun to be pregnant these days.....Nah, couldn't be; it's just more stylish.
I'm glad you've had time to relax, because soon you won't have any time at all for sun and beaches!

Everyone and their dog should come visit. Nix the dog. We don't like them. But you should come visit :)
That looks like so much fun! I'm jealous.. I love beaches and water :) I am so excited for you two, having a baby is going to be the best/craziest experience of your life! And take A LOT of pictures, because they change every day!
I hope we get to visit ya'll while you live there. Sky had an interview today with a company in Boston!! So we might be ending up on the east coast too!
