What to say

Aloha from Spring Creek, Nevada. In case you didn't know, Eric and I are living in Spring Creek for a couple months with my mom and dad so Eric can work for my dad and help him out with his new business here.

To some of you, this is a total surprise; I know some of our friends in Provo might still be out of the loop. Long story short, Eric and I both worked on campus, which meant that two weeks after graduating we became unemployed because of university employment policy.

Eric left a little less than a week after graduation to work on a construction job with my brother-in-law, Brandon, in Sacramento. I was finishing out my two weeks when my mom called and suggested we come out here and help Dad out. I talked to Eric and we decided to go ahead and do it, so that weekend in a whirlwind of events, family and ward members had helped me pack everything up and put it in storage, and I was on my way.

Eric got back in time for my birthday last week, and now we're trying to settle into a routine here in Spring Creek. Not the most exciting story of my life, but now you know where we are and what we're doing!

Cindy, never say it's not an exciting story. It's all exciting; it's all in how you tell the story.

Oh-- adding some "embellishments" might help make your stories more exciting.

That last comment was from the queen of "embellishments." I'm going to her blog next to read the latest of her embellishments....

(I'm glad to have Eric and you here! You're both doing so much to help us!)

It feels as if you will need to store up all that peace and quiet and countryside before you head off to the big city. I'll be in Provo on the 29th so I hope to see you on the 30th which is the last day of June! If Jessica goes into labor maybe we'll all get to see the baby, too :)

I think Elko is more exciting than you're making it out to be... :)

Hey friend-- we're driving through this week! We probably won't have time to stop on our way to California on Thurs, but next Monday (the 8th? right?) we'll definitely want to stop and see you. I can give you a better time estimate when we're driving probably. LOVE YOU!

Jana, we'd love it if you guys would stop by! I'll watch for your call. Have a good drive out there.

Spring Creek has treated us well so far; it's been pretty relaxing and everyone's been really nice. It's a nice break before heading out to Virginia and getting Eric into the grind again.
