Well, good news and bad news.
Good news? Eric got into both the University of Alabama Birmingham and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Bad new? Now we have to choose one!
We'll be talking about it together over the next few days before he has to give his answer to UAB, but if any of you have any feedback, that would be great, too!

If the tuition is comparable and they both offer good residencies, I vote virginia. DC probably won't be too far away (I'm not sure exactly where VCU is located) and it's a super fun place to have access to. I think there would be more young lds couples around, too.
Richmond-- 856.45 miles from ME
Birmingham-- 535.56 miles from ME
Just FYI.
OH! And congratulations, Eric!
That's my BADGE! boo yah!
we are in VA!!! and love it. but the choice is yours and yours alone. :)
I vote VCU for Cindy's sake. I imagine there is a lot of PR work available in the DC area--more so than Birmingham, anyway. I know nothing about the schools themselves, though, so for all I know UAB has a better program... Yeah, good luck with that decision. :) Congrats, Eric!
I want you to have the program that will help you the most. How many are in your class in each school? How much personal attention will you get? Richmond, VA is part of a huge megalopolis including D.C. Birmingham will be a smaller city and perhaps more isolated. What is the cost of living in each place? Alabama is closer to us, but that should only be a remote consideration. How do these schools help their graduates get jobs? Which has the bigger name recognition or better alumni association? Are they both the same number of years and how are their programs organized? I understand that UAB has a dual degree so that is tempting. The more versatile you are the better. What is the healthcare business going to need the most in the coming years? Finally, it's a good thing I'm not making this decision so that I don't have to be responsible for the outcome. It's great to have the Lord on your side!
I was going to weigh in but I have to say you'd better just Listen to Your Mother. DC is a really happening kind of place these days and you've got a cousin there already!
Thanks for appreciating my Art!
