Witnessing history

Think what you will of the man's stances on policy; you have to admit it's kind of neat to be part of history. I view it as an important step in the continual process toward equality in our nation. I enjoyed Senator McCain's concession speech, because he addressed this very issue.

I won't pretend I voted for Obama, but I will do my best to do as McCain asked and work to overcome party boundaries and work for a better America under the presidency of Barak Obama.

Funny thing is, this moment is exactly what it seems those people were voting for--- to be part of a historic moment. I just hope this historic moment is followed by 4 rather un-momentous years... I don't think the fabric of our country has anything wrong with it; we just need someone to go into Washington, cut spending, save our tax dollars, and get things to run as they should.

Too true. If nothing else, this will be a reminder to Americans what it's like to have a true liberal in office--I don't think we've had one since Carter.

Ditto to your post and both comments! I'll write later..Loved your post about the conference, too. Sigh...I'm too busy right now...

Why is Mom so busy? She's supposed to be slowing down in the golden years of her life:0)

Nov. 4th was actually a very depressing day for me. While everyone was celebrating the history of that day, I was feeling very disappointed that his color was considered more than his character.
