Cindy: This is the ring Eric bought after he had all of us convinced that he was going to buy it in 2 weeks... I had no idea. But it's perfect!
Cindy: I didn't know why Eric decided to go on a date in the middle of finals week, but I liked the idea of Tulip Festival! Little did I suspect what he was planning...
Cindy: I thought he'd want some fun pictures with the flowers in them -- that was what we'd come to see, right? Haha.
Cindy: Yay, a waterfall!
Cindy: Cool, an amphitheater. Let's do gladiator poses. Won't that be fun?
Cindy: Eric did a great gladiator pose, although I'm not sure why he's pointing up. Maybe it means he's number one.
Cindy: I hope he hurries up. I'm getting cold over here! (To my credit, I did sit still for a while here...)
Cindy: Eric started dancing with me in this grassy area near a stream. It was fun, but then he kept dancing, and dancing...then he was messing with something behind my back and I could hear rustling of paper or plastic or something...I didn't know what was happening. Then it started to dawn on me and next thing I know he's kneeling down and putting a ring on my finger!
Cindy: I had no idea! Haha, great times. Looking back I can see why he was doing all the strange things he was, but I couldn't figure out why he wanted so many pictures of me down by flowers. I just thought he liked the flowers a lot :o)
Cindy: I was cold, but happy! He caught me off guard and it was a great surprise! Now we'd just go on back to my apartment so he could almost break his nose and end up in the ER just hours after he proposed!

Congrats again to both of you. It was cool to see you just 45 minutes after the fact.
You both are pretty much fantastic.
I love it!! The he said, she said thing is great! And so are both of you! Oh, we're in for many more good times with the two of you in the family!
That's not right! I said that, not Cindy! Oh, well, it's not the first and won't be the last time I goofed! Really, everyone, that wasn't Cindy bragging about their cool post!

Good Job, Bro. Sometimes things don't go quite as planned, but work out perfecting anyway. I'm happy that you two have decided to take the plunge! I hope you both had a good time down here in Louisiana. I know I enjoyed your visit and the opportunity to get to know Cindy. She's pretty good at playing 20 questions. (I also finally had someone to play Heroscape with...and I had fun despite losing 3 out of the 4 games.) I look forward to seeing you two again in June. Good luck with the picture taking, invitation stuffing, cake tasting, wedding planning maddness!
