18th Entry

Ok, Well let’s see…. I have 4 finals to take before Tuesday at 5pm when I’ll be leaving. I’ve taken 2 and I hope to take one tonight online, then 2 tomorrow and one on Tuesday or all of them tomorrow….I really really really want to be done with them, but they are going to be difficult and I know that I can do well if I apply myself. We’ll see how it goes. Tonight Doctrine and Covenants, tomorrow Masterpieces in Russian Literature, Accounting, and LDS Marriage and Family. I’ve been reviewing Accounting and noticing how much of it I don’t understand as well as I want to. That feeling irks me a bit. I will review for my religion tests today and then tomorrow morning look over some notes for my Russian final and then I’ll see where I’m at after that. If I did well on all of those 3 then, I will most likely try and keep the good mojo going and review and take my Accounting Final (which will be a tricky beast for sure!).

On another note; I bought Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was good and I had a great time watching it with Cindy last night. I also saw “About a Boy” the other day and I liked it. My roommate was there next to the sound to mute out the language (even though it is PG-13). OH, today I got a cook book from Cindy’s mom. I guess the word is out that I enjoy cooking. I now have 4 or 5 different cookbooks and I should start buying a few items for recipes in there maybe once a week.

I ate at Marie Calendars yesterday with Cindy and her friends and family. It was her sister-in-law’s birthday. I had some country fried steak and it was good and filling. I got to play with some little twins that remind me of me and Rebecca. The boy was relaxed and happy and the girl was a little pickier about her surroundings until she discovered that my finger makes a good chew toy and then things were just great.

Update on Cindy and me: from my understanding, everything is just awesome. She says that I have “the hots” for her, but I think she just “fell for me” and…..maybe I do have “the hots” for her. Is that a crime?! Nope. Don’t think so….plus she totally “fell for me” first ;)…I hope.

I am really excited for Christmas and the chance to relax with family and not worry about school. I already took two finals and I got a 100 on my Exercise Science Intermediate Weight Lifting class and I passed my PowerPoint class (it was a pass/fail class and I only missed 4 on the final). I need an 80 or better on the Accounting test and the other’s I should be able to get in the 90s if I apply myself.

This blog turned out pretty long and I know that I touched on a few subjects twice, but that’s just how it is right now in my mind. Have a Merry Christmas!

17th Entry

Ok, well....I think that I'll write a little about Cindy for my family members that haven't met her yet...which is everyone except Jessica and Skyler. Well, you already know that she's tall and very good-looking, but I think you should know that there is a lot more to this Washburn woman. She is really smart, intelligent, funny, ticklish, happy, dancy(know what I mean), and pretty special. She sings very very very well in a nice smoky(just found out that you can spell this word two ways with or without an "e", crazy huh?!) alto and a high soprano. She's as light as a 115 pd backpack so I pretty much can pick her up and dance with her anytime.( I hope that makes sense, if not, just move on). She's a flosser. What else? I don't know. I feel like that is enough of what I think of her to be shared with all of you. I am happy. We read and have hot chocolate and dance and play and sometimes just sit together. Its a good life. alright, I'll see a few of you for Christmas in a couple of weeks and I hope to have done well on my finals and in my classes overall! Seeya.

16th Entry

List of that which I am thankful for:

*Cherry Pie- because it is wonderful and delicious

*Boots- because they are awesome

*My Family- they are family, ‘nough said

*Good Friends- They really are hard to come by and they are worth keeping (agree with Gabe’s comment)

*Russian Literature- because it is difficult and interesting to read and even moreso to think about

*Good Questions- because I never feel like I can think of them until they are asked

*Pig-tails- because they can be funny, or really cute and fun

*Fun Classes- they help me enjoy my University experience and relieve stresses.

*Long-Boarding- it is fun to board around and just feel good going downhill

*Dancing without music- I really enjoy this and even if I don’t have rhythm

*Jumping- I like to

*Prayer- because it is a miracle

*My calling- I really like being a teacher because it gives me the opportunity to think and just ask questions that are pertinent to me.

*Cell-phones- I can contact important people almost anytime and know that they have a message

*Blogs- see what people think about and also feel a bit more involved in their day to day lives

*My laptop- allows me to do work

*Jeans and Shorts- I really like to wear them, especially cargo style because they are comfortable and fun and I can carry what I need without feeling stupid or looking dumb.

*Scriptures, Talks- because they are inspiring and they allow me to take some time for myself.

*Cindy- because she dances with me and lets me be myself. - Not to mention TONS of other things

*Socks- I love ‘em

*Countless examples of good men and women that are in my life.

*Dipped Kiddy Cones from Dairy Queen/ Gelato from Maestro’s (½ oreo and ½ lemon)

*Music- it is so varied and unique that it is wonderful to me as it excites my mind with creativity

*Swimming- It is one of life’s pleasures

*Sports- I like to play them and to watch them

*Movies that excite the senses (wholesome)

*Trees and My childhood- I think about how I grew up and how wonderful it was. I climbed trees and built forts, fished, ran, swam, and played whole heartedly. It was great and I didn’t even think about things that could exist outside of “my world”

*My mission- knowing now that so many differences exist in people, cultures, and lands and enjoying it tremendously. (I hope that makes sense)

These are some of the things that I am grateful for and I hope that you enjoyed reading them. There are some light-hearted and some more serious, but I feel like they are all important to me. They are listed in no particular order. I excuse my grammar and you should too.

On a side note: I want to become more articulate in my writing, but I can only express myself as clearly as I can think and as the extent of my mental dictionary allows. I think I may add the “word of a day” application to my desktop as a start.
